It really hasn’t been a long time since we first did this workout, but for some reason, it feels like it. Before the grand opening and all of the commotion that followed after that, a bunch of people who loved CrossFit sat in “the champagne” room and came up with this workout designed after a Regionals workout from a few years back. Every rep is a point and you are working every second to get as many as possible. Four minutes to row as many calories as you can. Three minutes of super-happy-fun-time-play. 2 minutes to “recover” from super-happy-fun-time-play. 1 minute of everything you’ve got in the tank. A simple recipe for hellish enjoyment.
For most of you, it has been just a months or less since your definition of fun changed. Morning showers may have been taken an hour later. Lunches were enjoyed sitting and relaxing. Post work activities were probably a lot less barbell related. But here you are! Whether today is your first day or you have been around long enough to remember the February Baseline, it is worth mentioning the changes that have been experienced. Imagine never having done a Burpee (don’t smile), or never having tried rowing, or Olympic weightlifting! You have all ventured into something that has the capacity to transform you physically and demonstrate that your ability to push yourself lies not only in the gym. We all at Reebok CrossFit Back Bay sincerely hope that you continue upward and onward in this journey. It will certainly be one hell of a ride.
